# SOH product identity and image import

Applied 2026-10-23.

## Behavior

- SOH XLSX can create missing product masters directly.
- Imports SKU, barcode, name/description, category, specification, selling points and four price types.
- Extracts embedded JPEG, PNG and WebP images and maps them by worksheet row.
- Images are validated, checksum-deduplicated and stored against the shared product master.
- Existing SKU/barcode conflicts remain review items and are never silently merged.
- SOH quantity columns are deliberately ignored.
- Warehouse quantities continue through separate Focus warehouse snapshot files.
- Focus quantity imports do not overwrite identity, descriptions, images or prices.

## Verified source

The retained SOH reference workbook contains 2,089 embedded images:

- Active SKUs: 1,044
- Stop-Production SKUs: 1,045

The first verified image maps to row 5 / SKU WT-03BLK and is a valid 800x800 JPEG.

## Safety

- XLSX relationships are parsed with network access disabled.
- Image paths are restricted to xl/media.
- Maximum image size is 10 MB.
- Only validated JPEG, PNG and WebP content is accepted.
- Confirmation remains staged and audited.
- No real SOH products or inventory quantities were imported during implementation.
